The film was a record-breaking smash hit-- The largest viewing audience for any movie ever run on the Hallmark Channel! It also broke a bunch of other ratings records including being the highest-rated program in its time period. Latest news: Moonlight and Mistletoe is now out on DVD, a full two years sooner than Hallmark Channel had originally agreed to allow its release on DVD.

Moonlight & Mistletoe is a Craig Anderson production directed by the Emmy award winning film and television director Karen Arthur.
The film stars Tom Arnold as Nick Crosby and Candace Cameron-Bure as his daughter Holly. Co-Starring Barbara Niven as Ginny, Christopher Wiehl as Peter, Matt Walton as Ben Richards, Allan Nichols as Earl, and Heather Remick as Holly's classmate Della Wallace. Also Featuring Kaily Smith as Holly's office receptionist Brenda, Richard Waterhouse as her boss Mr. Jennings, Bruce Bouchard as Mr. Covell the banker, Lilian Pritchard as Young Holly, Ari Larson as Young Peter, Taylor Ampatiellos as the young boy Willie. Dozens of Chester, Vermont area residents were cast as "atmospheric performers" a.k.a background movie extras.

The snowy outdoor winter scenes were actually staged and filmed in the warmth of late May and early June. The writers strike prevented filming during the real wintertime.
